The project is implemented by the DGSSIS – Community of Madrid in partnership with the Community of San Egidio in Spain, the Union of South-East Region Local Authorities in Bulgaria, the Association sant’Andrea apostolo della carità in Italy, the Hildburghäuser Bildungszentrum e. V. in Germany, the University of Nicosia and the Centre For Advancement Of Research And Development In Educational Technology Ltd-Cardet in Cyprus and the Centre for European Constitutional Law in Greece.
The project promotes and encourages the integration of refugees, asylum seekers and newly arrived migrants through enhancing their basic skills and key competences for achieving better social and labour inclusion in the European Community.
The objectives of the project are the following:
•to strengthen the cooperation and networking between AEPs, research centres and public bodies from countries most affected by the refugees’ crisis;
•to test and implement innovative practices in the field of education and training of specific target groups;
•to better prepare and deploy the education and training of professionals for equity, diversity and inclusion challenges in the learning environment;
•to promote the integration of refugees, asylum seekers and newly arrived migrants and raise awareness about the refugee crisis in Europe;
•to encourage the utilization of Open Educational Resources (OER) to give access to education and digital training tools to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
